“Hard Pill To Swallow”: Shubman Gill As Gujarat Titans Miss Chance To Finish In Top Two

Captain of Gujarat Titans (GT), Shubman Gill, admitted that the match moved away early when his team had undergone a heavy defeat of 83 points against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the Narendra Modi stadium on Sunday. By hunning an intimidating target of 231 points, GT was grouped for only 147. Speaking after the match, Gill underlined a disastrous power game as a turning point. “The game has pretty much distant us in the PowerPlay. We have never really returned to the game; 230 is a big target,” he said, quoted by Espncricinfo.
The titans seemed in a way with the bat and the ball. Their quatrees failed to contain a superior CSK endemic order. Gill highlighted the need for composure, especially when you play against teams without losing anything.
“The teams that are already eliminated have nothing to lose. We could not remain calm under pressure,” he noted.
He also highlighted GT’s inability to stem the racing flow and collect counters in the middle of the middle.
“It is very important to control the races in the middle. If you do not choose the counters, it will always be difficult and stimulating,” he added.
“This one would be a hard pill to swallow for us. But on the right side, we have two or three important games for us. Fortunately for me, returning to my hometown,” he said.
Coming to the match, CSK won the draw and chose to beat first. A 63 Run Second Wcomkeket Stand Between Urvil Patel (37 in 19 Balls, With Four Boundaries and Two Sixes) and Devon Conway (52 in 35 Balls, With Six Fours and Two Sixes) and A 74-Run Fifth Wcomkeket Stand Between Dewald Brevis (57 in 23 Balls, With Four Boundaries and Five Sixes) and Ravindra Jadeja (21* In 18 balls, with a oven and six) Took CSK to 230/5.
Prasidh Krishna (2/22) was the best GT bowling player.
In the race race, GT was never really in the running because they lost the counters in a coherent manner. Sai Sudharsan (41 in 28 bullets, with six ovens) scored as Noor Ahmed (3/21), ASHUL KAMBOJ (3/13) and Ravira will Jadeja (2/17) dismantled GT, poured them 147 in 18.3 Overs.
With this victory, CSK finished last with four victories and 10 defeats, which gave them eight points. GT finish the campaign with a defeat that could hinder their first two chances, with nine victories and five defeats, which gave them 18 points.
