IPL 2025 Restart In Danger: Rain Forecast For Bengaluru On May 17 Shows Chances Are…

IPL 2025 is expected to resume Saturday after nine days apart in Bengaluru with a match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders. On May 8, the Delhi’s capital match against the kings of Punjab in Dharamshala was canceled halfway while areas like Pathankot and Jammu were attacked by Pakistan. However, the match is likely to be washed, although M Chinnaswany’s drainage system is one of the best in the world. Weather forecasts for May 17 on Accuweather.com show a probability of precipitation of 25%. It increases 70% in the afternoon and 80% in the evening. The director of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Mo Bobat, spoke of the energy of his team during the training session while the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 resumes.

On Monday, the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) announced the resumption of the 18th season of IPL 2025 and revealed the calendar of the remaining 17 matches.

The BCCI suspended the league rich in cash for a week due to tensions between India and Pakistan.

“It was a few unusual days for everyone. For me personally, there was a lot to settle and it was a few days busy. For many of our guys, in fact, it was a well-deserved rest. So, some of them liked to go home, seeing family, even if it is only for a few days and then to come back. We are very happy with that,” said Mo Bobat at the Press Conference.

He also talked about the challenges that have been presented due to the IPL season’s unexpected extension.

“I am sure that all the teams have experienced the same thing. Once your players have returned home and once the dates have been extended, this creates a little uncertainty. We talked a lot with our guys abroad before even leaving. Most of them were quite categorical that they were eager to come back and finish the work,” he said.

“We have had a good season so far. They want to come back and do it. The extension of the season has presented certain challenges. I must have some conversations with some of the national bodies of the national team. Obviously, we will lose Jacob Bethel after a few games there, and we will lose Lungi Ngidi after a few games. There is an obvious impact there,” he added.
