(G)I-DLE rebrands as i-dle on 7th anniversary, drops ‘G’ to embrace new era : Bollywood News
The K-Pop Super Girl group, formerly known as (G) I-Col, announced a brand change, changing name in i-Wdle and removing the “G” which represented “girl”. Thanks to this change, they aim to redefine their identity beyond gender or symbolic labels. In addition, by eliminating parentheses, generally used to underline or separate the elements, they signal an evolution towards music and unlimited creative concepts while they embark on a new musical direction to celebrate their 7th anniversary.

Known for their active involvement in the production, writing and composition of their albums, they will continue to show the authenticity and distinctive color of I-Wdle.
