Rahul left LSG and was chosen by DC during the 2025 IPL auction. The two found themselves again face to face on the cricket field for the first time in IPL 2025, and their meeting was embarrassing. KL RAHUL became the fastest striker to reach 5000 points in the Indian Premier League (IPL) while the counter striker reached Delhi Capitals’ victory over the eight courses of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) here on Tuesday. Rahul reached the elusive milestone in 130 rounds and beat David Warner (135), Virat Kohli (157), AB de Villiers (161) and Shikhar Dhawan (168) in the list. While facing his former team which he had captain in IPL 2024 before being released by the franchise after an ardent meeting with the owner of the franchise, Rahul marked a little slow and regular invainly delivered deliveries to cross the line and win a massive victory.
Goenka has now talked about her feelings about Rahul. He called him a “Shareef Insaan” and said he had both respect and love for him.
“KL Rahul has always been family for me and he will stay in this way. He has capitalized Lucknow for three years and showed great results during his mandate. I really want his good, whatever happens,” Goenka said on the Podcast TRS.
“Shareef Insan Hai (it’s a good person),” said Goenka speaking of Rahul. “He is a very honest person and I hope that everything that well happens to an honest person like him. He is also very talented and I want him to display his talent in the world. I am very sure that he will do well. My best wishes are with him.”
