Currently, the series features Pranali Rathod as Prarthana, Namik Paul as Shivansh and Akshay Bindra as Raunak, focusing on a romance of the new age while holding its roots of family drama. Despite these changes, the show was unable to maintain its top TRPs, which prompted manufacturers to call time on their trip.
Launched in 2014, Kumkum Bhagya I started as a love story between Rockstar Abhi (Shabir Ahluwalia) and the volunteer pragya (Sriti Jha). Their chemistry quickly made the show a favorite of households, drawing massive notes and winning several prizes. Over the years, the scenario has undergone several jumps, introducing new generations and fresh love angles to keep the story engaging.
