Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli Urged To Take Retirement U-Turn; Told “Not The Time To Think About Themselves”

The former India cricket player Yograj Singh said that Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who have withdrawn from the test cricket earlier this month, must revoke their decision to save the country’s red ball cricket. Rohit and Kohli’s pensions leave the side without its most senior strikers during the next tour in England, where India should play a series of five -game tests from June 20. The former 67 -year -old cricket player, who resulted in current players like Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, in addition to his son Yuvraj Singh, added that Kohli has even more years to give Cricket.

“Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli must come back from retirement to save Indian test cricket. Now is not the time to think of themselves – this is the nation, fans and deep emotions that people have for the game. Virat has at least ten years of cricket in its peak.

The veteran cricket player said that the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) should support players during their difficult times so that players do not bow to the pressure of the assembly.

“In 2011, players like Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Virender Sehwag were abandoned for no clear reason. When Yuvraj retired, I scolded him – I told him not to give in to pressure. He was, and is always incredibly fit. The crickets should fight for their place in the team instead of mastering external pressures.

“The BCCI must act as a parent-protect and support their players, not leave the ego or the policy dictate decisions,” he added.

Yograj said he had called his son, Yuvraj and asked him to tell Kohli not to withdraw from the test cricket and regret the decision later.

“I told Yuvi to call Virat and say to him:” Do not make the same mistake as me “. I am sure they (Rohit and Virat) do not look at him and regret it for a few years. Because one day, frustration will inevitably be surface – but what will be the point?”

Kohli has submitted goodbye to his test career with 9,230 points in 123 games to an impressive average of 46.85 with 30 centuries and 31 half-century, while Rohit attracted curtains to his red ball career with 4301 points in 67 games, including 12 centuries and 18 half-century, on average 40.57.
