Liverpool Set For ‘Big Summer’ Of Transfers, Says Club Captain Virgil Van Dijk

Virgil Van Dijk says he expects a “big summer” to Liverpool on the transfer market, because he would have concluded on an agreement that will obtain his future in Anfield. The men of Arne Slot are on the brink of a 20th record title of the English League after the 2-1 Sunday victory at home against West Ham, in which Van Dijk marked the winner. They are 13 points ahead of Arsenal Second with only six games to do and could conclude the title next weekend if the results take place.
The future of Van Dijk should be obtained later this week, with the announcement of a two -year contract to correspond to the New Deal of Mohamed Salah.
Strike Federico Chiesa was the only signature of the outside field in the post-season transfer window from last year, but he rarely presented and Liverpool manager, Arne Slot, will be eager to strengthen.
“I think Liverpool should be able to challenge the titles in the coming years,” said Van Dijk, who has capitalized the team for the 100th time in the League against West Ham.
“Whatever happens in terms of players who come out, players who come, I think it should be a great summer. I think they plan to make a great summer, so we must all trust the board of directors to do the right job.
“I think we can improve 100%. I think we should not forget the quality that the Premier League has, especially this season. It’s amazing how everyone can beat everyone.”
The 33-year-old Dutch international said Liverpool would also benefit from a pre-season, without major international competition this year.
“This year, there is a training camp and it’s time for the team to work on what the manager wants and I think that will improve the team,” he said.
“I think that an appropriate pre-season would certainly help the club to be even more coherent than we have already been.”
Van Dijk should become the second Liverpool captain to raise the Premier League Trophy and seek to add to this.
“The success with Liverpool, the culture of the club, everything that embodies Liverpool-which is part of me,” he said.
“I love the club, it’s quite obvious. I think you can see it in the way I talk about the club, how I work for the club in terms of what I do on the field on and off the field, and it will always be the same.”
