Tokyo’s Olympic bronze medalist, Lovlina Borgohain, won the 75 kg female gold, while the six times Asian champion Shiva Thapa signed with a silver medal in the male category of 63.5 kg at the national games in Dehradun on Friday. Playing her first tournament from the Paris Olympic Games, Lovlina d’Assam dominated her younger Pranshu Rathore opponent from Chandigarh through the three towers to record a convincing 5-0 victory. In the Light Welters Weight Division (63.5 kg), Thapa lost in an oath against the boxer of the Vanshaj sports control board, with a 3-4 score.
In other episodes of the day, Mandengbam Singh of the Services beaten Ashul Punia of Chandigarh in the fly weight division (51 kg) by a decision of 4-1.
The bronze medalist of Commonwealth Games, Jaismine Lamboria of Services, showed her domination with a convincing 5-0 victory over the Manisha Manisha of the Haryana World Championship at the 60 kg female event.
Another gold medal for services came from Sakshi, which passed the Vinakshi 5-0 of the Himhal Pradesh.
In the Coqs weight category for women, Divya Panwar of Madhya Pradesh triumphed from Sonia de l’Uttar Pradesh with a 4-1 victory.
The Local Boxer Nivedita Karki showed precision and agility while it controlled Kalpana d’Haryana to win first place in the female fly -weight event (50 kg).
Ankushita Boro of the former world champion of youth Assam reigned supreme in the Welter weight event (66 kg), upgrading Kajal d’Uttarakhand by a unanimous decision.
