The 87 undefeated of Nicholas Poornan and the 81 Super Giants of Lucknow (LSG) of Mitchell Marsh the highest of 238/3 in 20 Overs against Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the Eden Gardens here on Tuesday.
It was a show of Marsh and Markram from the start, because the experienced foreign opening duo canceled KKR’s power game plans with clinical assault. Vaibhav Arora, recently praised as a specialist in Venkatesh Iyer electricity game, had trouble disturbing the opening pair on the right.
His first end was tidy, but Spencer Johnson wore the brunt while Marsh separated him over Midwicket, and Markram followed three limits in an end. At the end of the power game, LSG had run at 59 without loss.
Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy were introduced shortly after, but with little effect. Marsh and Markram made 38 points from the four spin’s overs, continuing their display of authority.
