Lucknow Super Giant’s Spinner Digvez Rathi received a suspension of a match by the Governance Council of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for repeated violation of the League Code of Driving. Against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday, Rathi was even involved in an altercation heated with the striker Abhishek Sharma, which even prompted the referees and the other players to intervene.

An IPL outing on the question read: “It was his third level 1 offense under article 2.5 this season and, consequently, he accumulated two demerit points, in addition to three demerit points which he had accumulated earlier – a demerit point against the Kings of Punjab on April 01, 2025 and two points of demeritis against the Indians of Mumbai on April 04, 2025.”
