“Bowlers Made The Difference”: Sanjay Manjrekar Snubs Virat Kohli Again, Triggers RCB Fans

While the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) climb to the top of the dots of the Premier Indian League (IPL) with a victory on the capitals of Delhi, Virat Kohli attracts many praise for his instrumental show. Kohli is the highest striker in the league this season, with 443 points in its name in 10 games. However, the former India cricket player Sanjay Manjrekar believes that it is the bowling unit of the franchise that played a more important role in the rise of the team in the upper classification.
Against Delhi, the duo of Josh Hazlewood and Bhuvnehwar Kumar put 5 counters between them while Yash Dayal and Krunal Pandya participated in a counter each. Kohli scored 47-ball 51 at a stadium where the Benglauru team had lost the duo of Devdutt Padikkal and Rajat Patidar in fast succession. Later, Krunal Pandya gave the team the final touch with his undefeated shot of 73 points out of 47 balls.
While all RCB players have presented different games this season, Manjrekar thinks that the bowling unit is the reason for the team’s improved series this season.
“4 of the 7 RCB victories came in pursuit. Targets 174, 175, 157 and 162. It was their quests who made the real difference this season!” Manjrekar said after the match between DC and RCB on Sunday.

Earlier, Manjrekar also said that RCB’s rise this season was not due to “a guy”.

Manjrekar had already snubbed Kohli on his list of “strikers who count” due to its exceeding of less than 150 this campaign. After the match against DC, Kohli decided to answer those who question his score rate.
“I try to make sure I don’t stop my singles and my doubles and that I combine with the occasional border.
