Ashutosh Sharma Gets Special Video Call From ‘Mentor’ Shikhar Dhawan After Sensational Knock For DC vs LSG. Video Viral

Ashutosh Sharma’s late load from 66 from only 31 balls saw Delhi’s capital (DC) snatch a vicotry from The Jaws of Beat during their 2025 IPL Opening match against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Monday. Ashutosh had trouble timing the ball initially after marking a 20-one run, became Berserk in the last three Overs in the pursuit, marking its next 46 in just 11 balls. After his blow, Ashutosh dedicated his “match player” prize to the mentor and former captain of India Shikhar Dhawan.
“I just want to dedicate this match of the man from the match to my mentor, Shikhar Paaji,” said Ashutosh, during the post-match presentation ceremony.
A few moments before the start of the party in the DC locker room, Ashutosh was seen talking to Dhawan during the video call, the latter congratulating the first.
“He was really happy. I love you Paaji,” said Ashutosh in a video shared by DC. For the Unversed, Dhawan and Ashutosh played together at Punjab Kings (PBKS) last season, before the first announced his retirement from the match.

Ashutosh played the decisive role in a game where the pendulum swung in favor of the two parties. He presented a show for cricket enthusiasts around the world, stayed until the end, hit the six winners and returned with an undefeated 66 games (31).
The game seemed to the reach of LSG, but Ashutosh alone did the tides in favor of the capital. On the third ball of the 18th, he smoked the ball in the stands next to Bishnoi. He followed it with a border and finished the most with another six to six.
In the penultimate, Kuldeep Yadav was exhausted, adding another turn in the game. The limits were the need for the time, and Ashutosh lit the stadium with a memorable assault.
He ran for a double, opened the face of his bat for six, far from the limit rope and completed it with a four in the final balloon, bringing the equation to six.
Pant entrusted his faith in Shahbaz to see the game. On the first ball, Pant missed the opportunity for Stump but decided to make a criticism for LBW. The exam confirmed that the ball was missing the stumps.
On the next ball, Mohit slowly pushed the ball for a simple, bringing Ashutosh back on strike. Ashutosh ended it in style with a sensational six lines on the ground, sealing a victory at a counter for DC alone.
