More Injury Concern For Barcelona, Midfielder Dani Olmo Ruled Out For Three Weeks

Barcelona’s injured playmaker, Dani Olmo, faces three weeks on the sidelines, declaring him from the Champions League quarter -final against Borussia Dortmund. Olmo, who suffered a right thigh injury during the 3-0 Thursday liga victory over Osasuna, will miss the conflict of this weekend league with Gérone, the second floor of the Spanish Cup semi-final against Atletico Madrid and the draw on April 9 with Dortmund. “The tests carried out this morning (Friday) confirm that Dani Olmo suffers from … an adductive muscle injury to his right leg. His recovery time will be about three weeks,” the club announced.

The Spanish international was removed shortly after marked during Thursday’s victory which raised the Catalan club with three points clearly at the top of the Liga.

After the match manager Hansi Flick expressed his concern that the victory had been expensive.

“We have three more points, but we paid a very high price with Dani’s injury,” Flick told journalists.

“We don’t know how long it will be out, but if it is two weeks, a lot of games will be missing and if it’s three weeks,” he added.
