The growing frustration of Lionel Messi and the miserable form of Inter Miami continued with a 3-0 defeat at home against Orlando City in Major League Soccer on Sunday. The defeat of the Florida derby leaves Miami with a single victory of their last seven games in all competitions and they slip into the sixth row of the Eastern Conference with Orlando the which exceeds them. Orlando took the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal of absurd simplicity – the goalkeeper Pedro Gallese launched the ball in the middle of the field and Luis Muriel passed clear and passed Oscar Ustari.
The visitors obtained a lot of joy by going directly against a backline of Miami who was at sea and that the Argentinian Marti Ojeda should have done better when he found himself clear to the goal but exploded on the bar.
Miami’s veteran, the goalkeeper, Ustari, then made a good backup to refuse Alexander Freeman and a follow -up of Ojeda, but the 38 -year -old found himself to blame for the second goal of Orlando.
The ball fell in Marco Pasilic on the edge of the box and its low blow crossed the hands and legs of Ustari.
Miami coach Javier Mascherano then launched attacker players in order to recover something from the game, but it was largely in vain.
At the fourth minute of the stop hour, Duncan McGuire broke down on the left and his low cross was split by the Icelandic striker Dagur Thorhallsson to compensate for an impressive performance of visitors.
Miami conceded 20 goals and scored 11 in their last seven games with their only victory to come against the New York Red Bulls on May 3.
Messi played the full game and had only two shots on the target.
