KL Rahul Reveals Story Behind Naming Daughter ‘Evaarah’: “Then I Googled…”

Delhi’s capital star, striker Kl Rahul, revealed the story behind the name of his daughter “Evaarah”. Rahul and his wife – Actress Athiya Shetty – became parents in March 2025 and the Indian Battière de Verie de Vécien de la Cricket team now revealed that he had found the name somewhere and Googlé his meaning. However, he added that it had taken him a while to convince Athiya by the name. “It was a name on which I just stumbled. We went through a few books of names that were sent by close friends. Then I googlé Evaarah and checked what is the meaning,” said Rahul at an event.

“I loved it from the moment I saw him. It took me a little time to convince Athiya. But her parents and my parents loved it. Then she slowly fell in love with this name,” added Rahul.

The Delhi Capitals Axar Patel skipper would quickly forget the disappointing performances on his side in domicile conditions and put their stuttering campaign on the right track when they face the Hyderabad Sunrisers, who vacillate at the limit of elimination, in an IPL match on Monday.

Recent defeats for Delhi’s capitals – the last being the loss of 14 points against the runners of Kolkata Knight – saw their campaign take a hit, but they still managed to keep their hopes in the playoffs thanks to their success on a rival territory, which they would face on their side of Pat Cummins.

With Axar Patel breastfeeding an injury – he had left the field during KKR’s striker after having injured his left hand on April 30 – he remains to be seen if the charismatic versatile has completely recovered during the intermediate period.

Axar underwent a bruise during his alignment, but despite the discomfort, he broke a bullet of 23 balls 43. However, the injury, if not completely healed, could arrive on the path of the bowling of the spinner of the left arm.

The Capitals of Delhi, currently placed fifth on the table with 12 points of 10 games, have in Axar a captain who led the side of the front, and his absence – or even a limited role – could harm the team, since they are desperately needed to find the winning means after two successive defeats on their home – in KKR and RCB.

DC having undergone three defeats in their last five games, they would seek to avoid more hiccups at the end of the tournament business.

The return to the form of the South African pillar Faf du Plessis with a beautiful half-century against KKR, although in a losing cause, would have achieved the heart of the team’s thinking group, but its adaptability to slower areas remains a question of concern.

KL Rahul was the main DC run-detained this season with 371 points in nine games, but he could not accelerate in the home match against RCB, marking 41 out of 39 deliveries, while against KKR in the previous match, he brilliantly missed by KKR Stalwart Sunil Narine in seven races.

The Guiche-Froide guard supported to face Cummins, Mohammed Shami and Harshal Patel, the SRH trio capable of upsetting the calculations on any side during the song.

Abhishek Porel has also struck with great aggressive intention at the top of the order marking more than 250 points, including half a century, but its inability to convert good starts into major scores has been its loss so far this season.
