Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have so far had an excellent season of the Indian Premier (IPL) 2025. After its reconstruction at the mega auction, RCB won eight of its first 11 games in the league phase, and are all except the scene of the qualifying series. Their positive start gave the franchise hope that it could finally be the year when RCB is getting their hands on the coveted IPL trophy, ending an expectation of 18 years. The former star of India and Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Suresh Raina, also believes that it could be their year.
“There is a good chance (DE RCB Winner IPL 2025) because Royal Challengers Bengaluru plays in another league this year. Their bowling unit has intensified. The new captain beat Chennai Super Kings twice – once in Chennai and again at home – who speaks volume,” said Raina, speaking to Star Sports.
“The locker room is positive, and these are signs of a team that can go to the end. Yes, the Indians of Mumbai, the Titans of Gujarat and the Kings of Punjab are also doing well, but it could finally be the year of Virat to raise the trophy after 18 years,” added Raina.
The big start of RCB led several players to intensify to contribute high performance. Devdutt Padikkal and Yash Dayal tastes made crucial contributions. Krunal Pandya was undoubtedly the best versatile in the league. Rajat Patidar shone despite the huge challenge of the captain. Even young people like Jacob Bethell and discreet foreign stars like Romario Shepherd have had moments of individual shine.
Virat Kohli himself has become strength to force. Kohli not only reached the ranging blows at low score, but he also gave the team of ardent throws alongside Phil Salt in certain games.
