Novak Djokovic And Coach Andy Murray Part Ways After Six Months

Novak Djokovic announced Tuesday that he would separate from his former rival and current coach, Andy Murray, after a six -month -old. Djokovic, 37, had brought Murray to his coach staff before the Australian Open in 2025. Taking on Instagram, Djokovic said: “Thank you, the Andy coach, for all the hard work, the pleasure and the support in the last six months and outside the field. I really enjoyed deepening our friendship together.” The partnership started promising, the beating icon Carlos Alcaraz to go to the quarter -finals of Australian Open, the first click of the year. However, an injury forced him to withdraw from the tournament during the semi-final against Alexander Zverev. Djokovic, however, was full of praise that he received from his longtime rival.
Murray won three Grand Chelem titles, three Olympic medals, including two gold medals, before calling the hour on his career after the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. He has a record of 11-25 victories against Djokovic.
Since his reinstatement of an injury, Djokovic has had trouble with his form, losing against Jakub Mensik in the final of Miami Open, Alejandro Tabilo in the second round of Monte Carlo and Matteo Arnaldi in Madrid.
He has not yet won a title this year and is looking for his 100th level of tour level. His only major victory last year was the gold medal at the Paris Olympic Games, where he beat Alcaraz in the final. He will play at the Geneva Open next week, where he is the Joker. He reached the semi-final of this competition last year.
