The popular criminal thriller Dahaad, which featured Sonakshi Sinha, Gulshan Devaiah and Vijay Varma, returns with a second season. According to a report in the Hollywood Reporter, the new season is currently underway. A source said to the publication: “Dahaad 2 is underway, and the team is working on the script. Prime Video aims to put on the show on a large scale, because the first season did very well, which praised immense. The work is underway, and the team will soon determine a shooting chronology. ”

Following the report, Sonakshi and Gulshan confirmed the news in their Instagram stories. Sonakshi published the article and wrote: “Finally !!! I can’t wait to resume this uniform ”, marking Reema Kacti, Zoya Akhtar and Prime Video. Gulshan also shared the news and wrote in a joke: “Now … Where did I keep this uniform?” with emojis thought.
Dahaad was created by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kacti. He followed the story of two police officers (played by Sonakshi and Gulshan) while they were investigating the disappearance of 27 women in Rajasthan. The series, which was presented on Amazon Prime Video on May 12, 2023, was inspired by the real crimes of Mohan Kumar, also known as Cyanide Mohan.
The show also presented Vijay Varma as the main antagonist and Sohum Shah in an important role. Dahaad has entered history as the first Indian web series to present the first to Berlin International Film Festival, where she contributed for the Berlinale series Prize.
