Rajkumar Hirani’s son Vir to make Bollywood debut with Hansal Mehta’s production: Report : Bollywood News
After having impressed the theater public with his powerful 35 -minute monologue in the letters of Feroz Abbas Khan of Suresh last year, Vir Hirani, son of the famous filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani, is expected to enter Bollywood.

According to a Peepingmoon report, Vir will be the head of a love story produced by the real films of Hansal Mehta. The project brings together an impressive creative team, with the famous filmmaker Malayalam Lijo Jose Pellissery making his Hindi debut. Known for revolutionary films like Diaries Angaly (2017) and Jallikattu (2019), Pellissery won the recognition of his daring narration and his unique cinematographic style. Adding to the weight of the film, the Oscar -winning composer Ar Rahman was roped to create his music.
The cast for the female lead is currently underway and production should start in February 2026.
Vir Hirani, a graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (Rada) in London, already made his acting debut in the streaming space with Pritam PedroRajkumar Hirani’s Maiden Series for Jio Hostar, Co-A With Arshad Warsi and Vikrant Massey. The next production of Hansal Mehta, however, will mark its official debut in theatrical cinema, presenting it on the big screen.
Hansal Mehta, who has actively built a list of theatrical projects and OTT as a producer, supports this launch as one of the main companies in its banner. On the director’s front, Mehta recently revealed Gandhi– an ambitious series on the Mahatma Gandhi which was presented at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) – and is currently working on a commercial drama Netflix featuring Anil Kapoor and Vijay Varma.
