In what promises to be one of the most anticipated films of 2026, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal have undergone dramatic physical transformations for their roles in Sanjay Leela Bhansali Love and war. According to an independent source of industry, Ranbir Kapoor lost 12 kilograms, while Vicky Kaushal lost 15 kilograms for their respective roles as an Indian military officers.

Currently in production, Love and war is described as a story of radical love in the context of war. The story is centered on a complex romantic triangle featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal as rival officers, both attracted by the character of Alia Bhatt, who plays a Glamor Cabaret dancer. The film explores the themes of passion, loyalty and sacrifice in turbulent times.
The recent calendar first marked the three tracks – Ranbir, Vicky and Alia – fired together, further strengthening anticipation so that chemistry and dynamics take place on the screen. Adding to the plot, the film also features Orry in a central role as a close to Alia, bringing another layer to the evolutionary relationships of history.
Directed by Bhansali, known for his visual grandeur and his emotionally rich narration, Love and war is planned for theatrical release in March 2026.
