In the wake of the current crisis in Punjab, actor Randeep Hooda has advanced to support families affected by the Gurdaspur floods. Punjab has been hardly affected by devastating floods in recent weeks, leaving thousands of families inappropriate and fighting to rebuild their lives. Strong rains have overflowed rivers, damaging houses, cultures, livestock and livelihoods in several districts. Among the seriously affected areas is Gurdaspur, where many families continue to face difficulties following the disaster.

Randeep has been associated with the founder of the Sikhs Global NGO, Amarpréet Singh and his close friend Singh with whom he has been working for more than 10 years now. From cashmere to Kerala, from Manipur to Maharashtra, and now in Punjab, this collaboration has seen them gather many and many times to prolong communities in crisis.
According to a source close to the initiative, “Randeep as has always wanted to stand personally with the inhabitants of Punjab during this difficult period. He joined his hands with the world NGO Sikh with which he has been associated for a long time, to relieve, rehabilitate and visit areas struck by floods to meet families who have lost their homes and efforts.
With the help of volunteers from world NGOs who work tirelessly, rescue documents are distributed and all efforts are made to comfort affected families.
While the floods have left a trace of destruction, acts of kindness and unity as the visit of Randeep recall that the inhabitants of Punjab are not alone in their recovery trip.
