Indian bicycle rider Harith Noah will return to competitive races after four months when he participated in the first Rally of South African safari, which is round 3 of the FIM FIM World Rally Championship, from Sunday. Noah was forced to leave Dakar 2025, in which an accident left him a fractured wrist. “After Dakar, I needed time to recover from the injury, but everything went well and I am back in full shape now. This is my first race since the crash, so there are certainly nerves, which is normal,” said Noah.
“But the South African Safari Rally is a new challenge for everyone, the route is an unknown territory in all areas. The key is to stay calm, get used to the motorcycle and take a kilometer at a time,” added Noah.
The South African Safari rally brings W2RC to South Africa for the first time and with extreme terrain and rapidly evolving climates, it is tilted to be an out-of-competition element on the W2RC calendar.
The 2025 W2RC season has five laps on three continents, pushing cyclists through a wide range of land and conditions.
The year started with the legendary Dakar rally in Saudi Arabia, followed by the challenge of the Abu Dhabi desert. Now, the championship is heading for a territory Uncharted with the beginnings of the South African Rally of Safari.
The last two laps will take the runners in Portugal for the rally raid of BP Ultimate in September, before culminating with the emblematic rally of Morocco in October
