According to reports, Neeru Bajwa had to play a key role in horror comedy, which revolves around ghost hunters. However, after the film has faced public criticism on a Pakistani artist, the actress seemed to be behind the project by removing the related content from her social media platforms.
The controversy gained momentum after tensions between India and Pakistan intensified in April of this year, in particular after the India operation, Sindoor, which was a response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Many Pakistani celebrities, including Hania Aamir, openly condemned the operation. This led to general anger in India, citizens and public figures criticizing those who opposed the reprisals strike.
The Federation of Employees of India in Western India (FWICE) has now officially urged the Indian government to take strict measures against Diljit Dosanjh for working in a project involving a Pakistani actress in the midst of a sensitive period. Despite the explanation of the producers, the film would not have been released in India, probably due to the intensification of the counterpass. However, Sardaar Ji 3 should be released internationally, with a first scheduled for June 27.
