Sajid Nadiadwala resigned as head of the Indian Council for Cinema and television producers, with Ratan Jain, a three -decades’ Bollywood veteran who previously directed the organization from 2010 to 2012, taking over. The transition took place during the 34th annual general meeting of the Council, where Nadiadwala, in his farewell speech, underlined the need for new leadership and appointed Jain a choice approved unanimously by the members.

The outgoing president was honored with a bouquet of NR Pachisia and a memory of Jamnadas Majethia. The members applauded its mandate, although the council provided limited details on its specific achievements.
Jain is delivered with a significant experience. As a chief of Venus Group, he produced successes like Khiladi,, Baazigar,, Dhadkan,, HumraazAnd Garam Masala. His return marks a return after his previous mandate as head of the council.
The newly elected council for 2025-2026 includes Jamnadas Majethia as president (TV & Web), with directors NR Pachisia, Madhu Mantena, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Rajat Rawail, Shyamamishis Bhattacharya, Nitin Vaidya and Abhimanyu Singh. Rameh Taurani will serve as a honorary advisor.
The advice is now turning to Jain to get advice while industry adapts to streaming trends and the evolution of public preferences.
