Bangladesh Legend Shakib Al-Hasan’s Assets To Be Seized After Court Order Amid Fraud Charges

A Bangladais court ordered the seizure of the assets of the cricket player Shakib al-Hasan in the last legal headaches for the sports star for his allegiance to the former head of the country. Shakib is a former party legislator of the former autocratic leader Sheikh Hasina, who was overthrown in an uprising led by students last year and fled by helicopter to neighboring India. His links with Hasina made him a target of the audience of the public and he was one of the dozens of murder surveys for a fatal repression of the police against the demonstrators during the uprising. It was not charged with these allegations, but is currently being prosecuted for fraud for having allegedly rebounded checks totaling more than 300,000 USD.
A magistrate of the capital Dhaka ordered the crisis on Monday after a Shakib arrest warrant was issued by the court in January.
Shakib was playing in a national twenty20 cricket competition in Canada when the Hasina government has collapsed and has not returned to Bangladesh since.
The allrouner of the left arm played 71 tests, 247 international and 129 Twenty20 for the Bangladesh, taking 712 combined counters.
