A source told Bollywood Hungama“The CBFC asked for two cuts. Aamir Khan believes that the film should have passed without these cuts. He and director RS Prasanna made the film with a lot of reflection. Certain scenes and dialogues, when they are seen in the context, seem completely appropriate.” The source, however, has no knowledge of the cuts requested by the CBFC.
The source also indicated: “Aamir Khan not accepting the cuts, the certificate of censorship was not attributed to Sitaare Zameen by. Aamir now plans to meet the CBFC examination committee again on Monday and present its point of view. Hopefully that a solution will be obtained and the CBFC will pass the film on June 16. Once this is done, the booking in advance of the film will be open. According to the rules, cinemas cannot sell tickets in the absence of a certificate of censur. »»
Interesting, Sitaare Zameen by was adopted by the British Censor Board, entitled British Board of Film Classification (BBFC), with a 12A certificate. The BBFC website has mentioned that the film contains “discrimination and moderate sexual references”. He also indicates that the film’s execution time is 2 hours and 35 minutes.
