After the loss of his team against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), the Kings of the Kings of Punjab (PBKS) Shreyas Iyer was surprised by the speed at which his opponents managed to chase a massive target of 246 points and stressed that the field and the rotation of his team were not up to height. “These are the learnings for us in the future. The other queries could have done the same thing. Myself and Wadhera thought that 230 was a good total, but I think that the dew made things more difficult for us (during the second round.) The way they (SRH openers) hit the world,” he added.
Coming to the match, PBKS won the draw and chose to beat first. A 66 -point stand between Priyansh Arya (36 in 13 balls, with two four and four six) and Prabhsimran Singh (42 in 23 balls, with seven four and a six) started things for PBKS. Later, half a century of the skipper Shreyas Iyer (82 in 36 bullets, with six four and six six) and a last development of Marcus Stoinis (34 * in 11 balls, with four and four) PBKS at 245/6 in their 20 Overs.
Harshal Patel (4/42) and Eshan Malinga (2/45) were one of the counters for SRH.
