Shah Rukh Khan’s Meer Foundation extends flood relief to 1,500 families in Punjab : Bollywood News
While Punjab is struggling with one of the worst floods in its history, several celebrities of Bollywood and their foundations have manifested themselves to provide help, guaranteeing a timely rescue and a rehabilitation for affected families. The Meer Foundation of Shah Rukh Khan, in partnership with local NGOs, actively supports communities struck by floods by distributing essential rescue kits. These kits include drugs, hygiene supplies, food, mosquito nets, nets, tarpaulins, folding beds, cotton mattresses and other necessities. The initiative will cover nearly 1,500 households in Amritsar, Patiala, Fazilka and Firozpur districts, meeting the immediate needs of health, security and shelters while helping families reconstruct their lives with dignity.

Earlier, the Being Human Foundation by Salman Khan also mobilized resources for rescue efforts. The organization sent five boats, three of which are actively used to save blocked residents, deliver food supplies and support volunteers. The other two boats were officially returned to the Ferozepur border. In addition, Punjab tourism president Deepak Bali confirmed that the Foundation is committed to adopting border villages affected by floods near Husainiwala once the situation has stabilized.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has contributed to 5 breaks of rupees for rescue and rehabilitation works to Punjab. Sharing his thoughts, the actor said: “I maintain my point of view on this subject. Yes, I give 5 RS drivers to buy emergency equipment for the flood victims of Punjab, but who am I to “make a donation” to anyone?
On the ground, actor Randeep Hooda was among the first to extend direct aid. He flew to Punjab shortly after the floods and personally joined the help of rescue, helping the rescue teams and helping to distribute the aid.
