Shreyas Talpade gets interim relief from arrest in multi-state chit fund scam case : Bollywood News
The actor Shreyas Talpade obtained provisional protection against the arrest by the Supreme Court as part of a CHIT funds for several crores covering several states. The court order intervenes in the midst of current surveys on the allegations according to which Talpade and others have fraud hundreds of villagers thanks to a fraudulent investment program.

In an interim decision adopted on Monday, a bench led by judges BV Nagarathna and KV Viswanathan issued opinions to the government of the Union and the States of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The court also planned the next hearing for August 29, when he will examine the plaid of Talpade to consolidate the multiple FIRs deposited against him and transfer the investigation to Lucknow.
Until then, the bench has ordered that no coercive measure is taken against the actor.
The controversy dates back to March this year, when Jammu and cashmere police recorded a fraud against Talpade and 14 others. They were accused of exploitation of a company called Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited, which would have promised unusually high villagers on their investments. The agents working for the company would have convinced local residents that their money would double in a short time.
The regime would have raised crores of uneasy investor rupees before the company continues abruptly, leaving a lot of financial distress.
According to reports, the scam had been active for almost a decade in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, before doing a legal examination. In February 2024, an FIR was filed against Shreyas Talpade and the veteran actor Alok Nath at the Gomti Nagar police station in Lucknow. The complaint has accused them and five other members of the cooperative Society to defraud investors from more than RS 9 crores.
