BCCI Stands In Solidarity With Victims Of ‘Gruesome’ Pahalgam Terror Attack

April 23: The Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI) expressed sorrow on Wednesday to the death of the victims of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu-et-Cachemire on Tuesday. “Standing in solidarity with the victims of Pahalgam’s terrorist attack. Prayers for families who have lost their loved ones in this horrible attack,” wrote BCCI on X.

Earlier Wednesday, BCCI’s sources told Ani that players and referees would bring black armbands to the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack against tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, during the Premier Indian League (IPL) 2025 between Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) who will be played at Rajiv Gandium and Rajiv Gandium and Mumbai in the international in Hyderabai.
“The players and the referees to wear black armbands in today’s match. There will be a minute of silence before the start of the match, and there will be no cheerleader today, no longer fireworks,” a BCCI source told Ani.
Earlier, the Minister of the Interior of the Union, Amit Shah, met the families of the victims outside the police control room in Srinagar. The Minister of the Interior of the Union paid tribute to the victims of the attack, which had left the cashmere valley and the nation in collective mourning and deep mourning, throwing a crown during a poignant ceremony in Srinagar.
Family members whose faces were engraved with deep pain were seen pleading with the Minister of the Interior, while they were shaking with sorrow, expressing the depth of their pain after the tragic loss of their loved ones in the attack.
In New Delhi, a few moments after his arrival from Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a briefing with the Minister of External Affairs Jaishankar, the National Security Councilor Ajit Doval, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Vikram Misri and other officials, with a view to the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam of Kashmir.
Meanwhile, in solidarity with the families of the victims and the condemnation of the attack, the political parties as well as the unions of traders in the region collectively called for a complete closure in the Kashmir valley.
