The Rajasthan Royals has a forgetful campaign in the current edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After losing six of their eight matches so far, RR is positioned in eighth place in the point table. Their last two defeats have been the most heartbreaking while the franchise based in Rajasthan lost the games in close meetings. In the match against Delhi’s capital, RR gave a difficult fight to take the match in the Super, but they lost. Later against Lucknow’s super-managers, RR took a brilliant start in the prosecution of 181 but did not succeed at only two points.
In addition to losing the matches, RR also faced a setback because their skipper Sanju Samson suffered a chest injury against DC and had to miss the LSG match. In his absence, the young striker Riyan Parag led the team.
Seeing RR’s debacle in the current season, the former Indian paste Ambati Rayudu criticized the inaugural champions for having invested in young players each year.
“I have always had this question in my mind about RR: they have invested so much in young people over the years. What have they withdrawn?
“You are here to win the IPL, and there are ways that the teams have adopted to win the IPL, and you do not follow any of these.
Former South African Window Guardian, Mark Boucher, who was also part of the conversation, also agreed with the Declaration of Rayudu.
“Yeah, I’m just and it’s worth for any franchise. I don’t think IPL is a reproductive ground for talent. I think it’s for a finished product. Yes, I mean you don’t do it, no team will never come to IPL thought, that’s good, we are going to sell here,” said butcher.
RR is one of those franchises that give opportunities to young talents. Some big names have come from the configuration of RR are Ajinkya Rahane, Sanju Samson and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
However, their decision to keep the tastes of Dhruv Jurel and Riyan Parag before the mega auctions was widely criticized because the duo did not meet the expectations of the current season.
