Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya Leads ”Fit India Sundays On Cycle” In Delhi

The Minister of Sports, Manuskh Mandaviya, led the campaign “Fit India Sunday on cycle” in New Delhi, with the Olympic rower Arjun Lal Jat among a crowd of other participants. Building on the appeal of Prime Minister Narendra Moda to combat obesity by reducing oil consumption by 10%, by exercising and eating properly, Mandaviya has devoted the initiative to the fight of the nation against obesity. Speaking during the event, the Minister of Sports said: “In our fight against obesity, which the Honorable Prime Minister has initiated, we must bring together to include daily fitness activities in our life.

“Bike is the simplest exercise and it also has a very positive impact on the environment. It reduces carbon footprints and is a solution for pollution.” Fit India Sunday on cycle invites a special set of people every week. Army staff, post-men and well-being have been invited as guests in the past.

In this week’s event, Corporate India has advanced to support the campaign and participate. Representatives of organizations in the FICCI and CII industry as well as members of the Decathlon fitness brand, Yoga Bharat and my Bharat participated.

The Olympian Arjun Lal Jat said: “As an athlete, I am happy to see that so many people have come out on Sunday morning and have spent time in physical form. Stay in good shape is not an option, it’s compulsory for everyone and on form in shape on the cycle initiative is a wonderful motivation for people to start their fitness trip.” In Gowahati, doctors from the Indian Medical Association joined Sundays Fit India during the Cycle Cycle at the SAI National Center of Excellence. Over 300 members have mounted to disseminate the fitness message.
