Virat Kohli Shatters David Warner’s Record, Achieves Never-Done-Before IPL Feat

The striker of the star of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Virat Kohli, added a sensational record to his already illustrious career in the IPL 2025 match against Punjab Kings on Sunday. Kohli was in great shape when he slammed 73 invainly deliveries to guide his team towards the victory. It was his 59th half-century IPL and his 67th score of fifty or more in the competition. As a result, he passed David Warner to become the cricket player with most of the 50 scores in the history of the IPL. Kohli obtained the feat with 59 fifty and 8 cents,

Coming to the match, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal broke the half-century while the royal benggaluru crushed the kings of Punjab by seven counters during their Indian Premier League confrontation on Sunday.

Chasing 158, Kohli (73 steps on 54 balls) and Padikkal (61 out of 35 balls) shared a 103 -point partnership, which formed the backbone of massive victory obtained with seven balls to lose.

Earlier, Spinners Krunal Pandya (2/25) and Suyash Sharma (2/26) shared four counters with each other while the kings of Punjab had trouble taking momentum with RCB striking at regular intervals.

The opener Prabhsimran Singh was scored for the hosts with a 17-ball 33 after being invited to beat.
