‘This Is A Nightmare But…”: Ex-India Star Backs Rishabh Pant Amid Horrid IPL 2025 Run

The former India cricket player, Aakash Chopra, thinks that Rishabh Pant will have to reassess his approach in the T20 cricket after having endured an IPL “nightmare” season, wasting a vital opportunity to present a stronger complaint for a place in the T20 configuration of India. Pant, who is not a regular on the T20 team in India, was to make a brand this season. However, the skipper of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) only managed 135 points in 12 games after being bought for a crore from Rs 27 to Gigantic.
LSG lost to the eliminatory race after their defeat against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Monday evening.
“Success could teach you a few things. Chess, however, really change your state of mind – and often for good. He is not a regular on the Indian T20 side, so this season has been crucial. A chance to make a mark, to build a solid unit,” said Chopra, an former opener from India, to “Jisostar”.
“It did not happen like that. His own form was incoherent-another lesson in itself. Is he standing for this approach in T20S or adapts?” When you are in a bad patch, it seems that nothing works. The nights seem longer, the days even more. This is when you learn – and bounce back. It was a nightmare. The good thing about nightmares is that you ended up wakeing up. “The old stimulator of India Varun Aaron echoes Chopra’s point of view, saying that Pant seemed temporary and must review his approach to find the form.
“LSG was counting on him, especially in the middle order. Check, nobody really marked. Pant looked temporary from the start and has never really succeeded this season. It is a sign of a player out of shape,” he said.
“First -order pants would have launched this shot in the stands. Today, he chipped it directly to the launcher.
“He is a quality player and wakes up. He just needs to slightly adjust his approach. This year, he did not score behind Square – the quisters do not let him play these blows …” LSG still has two games at the League stadium – against Gujarat Titans on May 22 and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on May 27.
