Delhi Capitals continued his undefeated sequence in the current IPL with a superb six -countered victory against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Minnaswamy Stadium on Thursday. By opting to play first, DC limited the RCB to 163/7 in 20 Overs despite a strong departure from Phil Salt (37 on 17 balls). Later in the prosecution, DC took a horrible start as they continued to lose counters, but the magnificent kl Rahul of 93 * out of 53 balls brought them home in just 17.5 overs.

“It was a slightly delicate counter. What helped me was behind the stumps for 20 letters, just looking at how he played. From the ticket office, I thought the ball was a little sitting in the counter but it was coherent everywhere – it was not two at the rate, it was a rhythm throughout. I knew what my shots were.

“I just wanted to take a good start, be aggressive at the start and assess it from there. If I was trying to hit a big six, I knew which pockets target.

Chasing a modest 164, the capitals of Delhi stuttering at the start, but Rahul composed the blow of 53 balls with six six and seven four did the work for his side.

Tristan Stubbs also played a crucial role with his 38 steps of 23 bullets. The veteran Bhuvnehwar Kumar played a tight spell of 4-0-26-2 for RCB, but they simply did not have enough points on the board.

Earlier, the end of the 20 ball by Tim David 37 Not Out and the fireworks of Phil Salt (37 on 17 balls) had raised a RCB in difficulty at 163 for seven in their 20 Overs.
