On Wednesday, during the confrontation against Rajasthan Royals (RR), the opener of Gujarat Titans (GT), Sai Sudharsan, became the second top scorer (after thirty heats) of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Sudharsan delivered a dominant performance with the bat, breaking 82 on only 53 balls while GT displayed a formidable 217/6 against RR at the Narendra Moda stadium in Ahmedabad on Wednesday. His sleeves, prevented from eight four and three, provided the backbone of the GT sleeves and set up a massive target so that the Royals pursue under the lights.
With this blow, he is in second place with 1307 points, behind Shaun Marsh, who has 1338 points. After Sai, there are heavy goods vehicles like Chris Gayle (1141), Kane Williamson (1096) and Matthew Hayden (1082).
Sudharsan is also the only Indian in the history of IPL to mark five consecutive scores of 50+ in a place. In the last two GT IPL 2024 games on the site, Sudharsan hit an undefeated 84 and a century.
By reflecting at the time and conditions, Sai said that the terrain was initially difficult, but finally turned out to be ideal for the game of a stroke.
“The surface swung a bit at the start, but the counter was good to continue,” he said.
“He (Archer) started well, but we consolidated afterwards. We understood that the counter was really good, so we wanted to push a little more,” he added.
GT sleeves had the basis of intelligent planning, especially in terms of stimulation of the sleeves.
“The way we went, we estimated that we could get 15 more, but it’s always an excellent score,” he added.
When asked his personal approach to him and if he aims to consistency, the left -hander responded modestly: “I do not try in any case to be coherent, simply reacting to the situation and doing the best.”
Sai also offered information on the challenge of the rhythm posed by Jofra Archer.
“I faced Nortje last year, but it was probably faster. Jofra got a little purchase on the counter today. The slowest and the change in pace will keep on the counter, so I think we have a good score,” he said.
With dew not very likely to play a role in the second rounds, as Sai believes, the Royals of Rajasthan have their task. Hunting 218 under pressure in a place like Ahmedabad is not an easy task, and Gt Bancera on their quisors to seal the game after their strikers have set the tone.
