“I’m Done…”: Virat Kohli’s Warning To Teammates Revealed Amid Test Retirement Talk

The cricket world has been amazed, the reports said that the star of the Indian Cricket team Virat Kohli could announce his test of test cricket just before the series against England. Virat would have considered his retirement since the Border-Gavaskar trophy against Australia and also spoke to the officials of the BCCI of his decision. A report by Times of India revealed that Virat told his India teammates that “he finished” with test cricket. Virat had a horrible release in the series against Australia and although his statements were not “taken seriously”, he wanted to retire before tests in England.
According to sources close to the Cricket Control Council in India (BCCI), the 36 -year -old faithful recently communicated his intention to move away from the longest format of the game.
Kohli, who made his test debut in 2011, was the cornerstone of the resurgence of India’s red ball over the past decade. Its aggressive captain, its prolific striker and its unequaled intensity have contributed to transforming India into a formidable test side in the country and abroad. With more than 9,000 points and 30 centuries in the format, the presence of Kohli in the fold was nothing less than the emblematic.
However, the BCCI is not yet ready to abandon the veteran striker. Sources indicate that senior officials have contacted Kohli, urging him to reconsider his decision, in particular with important tours on the horizon. India should embark on a difficult foreign calendar, including tours in England and Australia – series where Kohli’s experience could prove invaluable.
“He is always incredibly in good shape and hungry. His presence in the locker room raises the whole team,” said a senior BCCI official on condition of anonymity. “We asked him to take some time before making a last call.”
Although Kohli did not make any public declaration on the issue, fans and former cricket players flooded social media with support messages, hoping that modern legend gives another passat. For the moment, Indian cricket is waiting – with a breath.
Earlier, Captain of India Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from the test cricket on Wednesday. Kohli also thinks in the same direction will leave the order of hitting the red ball of India largely on the shoulders of young people in the new cycle of the world testing championship (WTC), starting with the five -game test series against England in Leeds on June 20.
