Forest A Conté and Wood was denied the opening goal by the Bloc of Maxence Lacroix while its shot was rolling closely.

Palace went forward on time after Mitchell was shot down by a combination of Dominguez and Selz in the region.

Referee Andy Madley did not initially give the penalty but changed his mind after a glance at the replay, Eze taking the kick.

Wharton left with an ankle injury while the boss of the palace, Oliver Glasner, took no risk with his influential midfielder before the FA Cup final against Manchester City.

Henderson made an astonishing stop to prevent an Elaga free kick.
