New Zealand Batter Accuses Pakistan Spinner Of ‘Chucking’ Mid-Over In PSL, Sparks Huge Row

The meeting of the Pakistani Super League between Multan Sultans and Islamabad United saw a massive controversy on Wednesday while Colin Munro called Iftikhar Ahmed for having “thrown” halfway. While the referee or the leaders of the match said nothing, Munro said to Iftikhar directly that he “threw himself” during his bowling alley. During the 10th above the United Islamabad UNITED rounds, Iftikhar upset a Yorker who was successfully defended by Munro. However, the New Zealand striker decided to face the bowling player and said his bowling action was illegal. The Spinner of Pakistan was left smoking and what followed was a war of words which was finally arrested by the referees on the ground.

Meanwhile, the PCB said the Australian Jason Gillespie, who had resigned from his functions as head coach of the Red team in Pakistan in December from last year, was not deprived of his remuneration as pretended in the media.
A source from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), reacting to the media, according to which the former Australian stimulator had approached the International Cricket Council (ICC) and weighed legal options on alleged unpaid contributions, said that the PCB had “done nothing contractual obligations”.
“There was a clear contract between the board of directors and Gillespie and the PCB acts only on what is established in the contract,” said the source.
He said that all issues related to remuneration was dealt with by the PCB legal service as indicated in the contract.
Gillespie said the PCB still owed some remuneration to him, including bonuses to win the series of home tests against England and a one -day series in Australia.
Media reports said Gillespie also approached the World Cricket ‘Association (WCA) and is considering legal action against the PCB.
“He did not give the notice period required as in the contract and we act in accordance with our agreement with him,” said the source.
Gillespie and Gary Kirsten were named red and white ball head coaches in April from last year on two-year contracts, but sept-eight months, they resigned by quoting problems with the PCB on their authority.
The PCB has appointed Aaqib Javed as acting head coach for the two formats after the resignation of foreign experts.
