Vaibhav Suryavanshi – Remember the name. What the 14 -year -old kid achieved such tender age on Monday at such a tender age is what dreams are made of. Playing in only his third match IPL 2025, Vaibhav Suryavanshi criticized a ton of 35 balls for the Royals of Rajasthan against the Gujarat Titans in Jaipur. These are the least bullets taken by an Indian to mark a ton in the IPL. At 14 and 32 days old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is now the youngest to have slammed a century in T20 Cricket. However, the fairy tale trip that started from Samastipur, Bihar, was not easy at all.
Even with baby fat refusing to leave the contours of his cheeks, the stable nucleus and holding its shape are things that stand out.
The bases built through these hours of work in Patna, playing 600 bullets per day from the age of 10 have shown its results. The time when the nets of net from 16 to 17 years old for which his father Sanjiv Suryavanshi would pack 10 additional tiffin boxes were not wasted.
The Suryavanshi family decision to put all their eggs in a single basket and not have a plan B by selling agricultural land to fuel their son’s cricket ambitions will certainly be part of the cricket folklores which will be pronounced in the years to come.
Vaibhav, who launched his IPL career by slamming a Sixer against Shardul Thakur during his very first ball in competition, now made 151 points in three matches to an average of 75.50 and a striking rate of 222.05, with the best score of 101 *.
During the mega-subdiction of IPL last year, one of the biggest surprises that emerged was that Suryavanshi became a royal for Rs 1.1 crore. Born March 27, 2011 in Bihar, Vaibhav is the youngest player on the list. He made his first class debut for the Bihar in January 2024 at only 12 years and 284 days. Last year, he was part of the U19 India match against Australia in Chennai, where he broke a century of 58 balls.
He also made his debut at the T20 for the Bihar during the SMAT 2024 tournament, although he cannot mark a lot in his only outing. He was also the highest seventh Run-Heter of ACC under 1924-25 Asia Cup 2024. He scored 176 points in 5 games in the tournament with a highest score of 76 *.
