Captain of Gujarat Titans (GT), Shubman Gill, admitted that his team had been preceded after the Rajasthan Royals (RR) achieved a record victory for eight semicircles at the Sawai Mansingh stadium, perorchanting a rigid target of 210 in just 15.5 overs. Speaking after the defeat, Gill admitted that the game moved away during the PowerPlay itself.

“They took the game in the PowerPlay and their merit for that,” said Gill. “There were a few things that we could have done better, but it is very easy to sit down and say these things. Certain chances came early our way, could not grasp them, but with hindsight, I think there are areas on which we have to work in a group,” said Gill.

Despite the backhand, Gill argued that Gujarat titans focus on the treatment of each game individually.

“What happened in the previous match – winning or losing – we take a match as it is,” he said.

“The next match is in Ahmedabad, we had a good race there, so I hope we can continue,”

Gill also reserved special praise for Vaibhav Suryavanshi, whose brutal assault left Gujarat without place for recovery.

“It was his day. His strike was just huge and he took full advantage of his day,” admitted the Gujarat skipper.
