“We Knew IPL 2025 Would Resume…”: KKR Star Manish Pandey On Why The Team Did Not Stop Training

Kolkata Kolkata Knight Riders, Manish Pandey, said that the team focused on training and the preparations match even when the IPL was interrupted because of the Indo-Pak military conflict, because they were confident of the resumption of the league and considers that perhaps the forced mini-throughout could in fact help them to rediscover their contact. KKR will face the Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an essential match here on Saturday to keep their hopes in living room playoffs. “He (the tournament break in the middle) does not really change much because as professional cricket players, we know what to be done. We were definitely known that the tournament would resume, but we did not know how long. But it was good that we did not have a lot of break,” said Pandey at the pre-match press conference here on Friday.

“We were still in the gymnasium and do our work on the match. The whole team is there and everyone is ready to leave and we can’t wait to have an excellent match,” he added.

However, a defeat against the RCB will be paid for the ambitions of the KKR direct elimination scene, but Pandey did not consider it as a pressure point.

“You know, nothing to lose from here. In fact, we just thought we could have had a better team tournament. We discussed it, but nevertheless, we lost a few games in the middle.

“If you are thinking of these crucial games, you now want you to win these games. But yes, certainly two games to do. Everyone wants to play,” he said.

The KKR is a strong side on the newspaper, but they could not occur in a coherent way this season.

Pandey attributed the debacle to their inability to assemble a series of victories as they did last year.

“The last time we have won matches, a lot of games, which is very important in a tournament like IPL. This time, we won one, but we lost one. The whole tournament was like that.

“Our striker was good. We were very good.

On a positive note, Pandey hoped that the unexpected break in the middle of events would help KKR to find a mojo in their last two games.

“But a break like this could certainly help. I am almost sure that the guys would have returned home and had seen their videos and tried to work on certain things that they did not have the opportunity to do.

“So, I think it should be a good break. As I said, the only thing I hope is to win the last two games and end at the top,” he said.
