Match no. Friday, 51 of IPL 2025 between Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad turned out to be heated. Playing at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, GT came out victorious by 38 points and won two points in the racing of major playoffs. The third referee declared Gill and while returning to the dug, he got involved in a lively discussion with the fourth referee.

Later during the pursuit of the SRH, Gill again had a lively discussion with the referees after drummer Abhishek Sharma is not given on the call of GT LBW. During the 14 above the Pursuit by Hyderabad of a 224-point target, Abhishek Sharma was stuck on his boot, and Gill, with his troops, called an LBW.
