The actors Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre began to shoot for a next web series produced by the incredibly acclaimed Paatal Lok Director Prosit Roy in Delhi. The show is supposed to be based on the infamous case of murder of Ranga-Billa, one of the most shocking and publicized crimes in the history of Delhi, which has shaped the history and identity of the capital.

The case, which dates back to 1978, involved the kidnapping and murder of Geeta and Sanjay Chopra brothers and sisters. Kuljeet Singh (Ranga) and Jasbir Singh (Billa) had initially planned to steal a car but changed CAP by discovering the children inside. The incident drew attention to the national level and led to a significant public reaction, ultimately contributing to changes in laws related to the kidnapping and safety of children.
The next series aims to seize the details of the crime and its impact on the inhabitants of Delhi at the time and set an investigation examination on the case that followed the murders. Manufacturers have not officially confirmed the scenario, but the sources suggest that it closely follows these very real incidents.
A source close to production has shared: “The team has been looking for the business for months now. The show that started shooting in the capital will focus on events as they take place following the murder case.
This marks one of the first times that the Ranga-Billa case is being adapted for a scripted series, Ali Fazal and Sonali Bendre occupying main roles.
