Leeds United and Burnley were promoted to the Premier League on Monday, condemning Sheffield United to a championship dam battle. Leeds by Daniel Farke beat Stoke 6-0 and Burnley’s 2-1 victory at home against Sheffield United during the subsequent kick-off that the two clubs will be in the best division in England next season. Leeds and Burnley both have 94 points and none can now be captured by Sheffield United (86), which has won only one of their last five games.
Leeds has spent the last two seasons in the championship while Burnley, under the direction of Scott Parker, has obtained an immediate return to the Premier League.
