Shreyas Iyer Handed Big Punishment By BCCI After Win Against Chennai Super Kings. Reason Is…

The captain of the Kings of Punjab, Shreyas Iyer, was sentenced to a fine of Rs 12 Lakh for having maintained a slow pace during the IPL 2025 meeting against Chennai Super Kings on Wednesday. PBKS recorded a complete victory on CSK in the match, but Shreyas was punished because his team could not finish the full quota of the Overs in stipulated time. The PBKs were even forced to bring an additional field player inside the circle before the start of the 19th, but that did not prevent Chahal from claiming a shiny tripled.
“Shreyas Iyer, captain, Punjab Kings was sentenced to a fine after his team had a slow pace during match 49 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 against Chennai Super Kings at the Ma Chidambaram stadium, Chennai on Wednesday.”
“As was the first offense of the season of his team under article 2.22 of the IPL code of conduct, which concerns minimum offenses on the rate, Iyer was sentenced to a fine of 12 Lakh INR,” said BCCI in a press release.

The skipper Shreyas made an excellent fifty to support the hat -trick of Yuzvendra Chahal’s hat while the Kings of Punjab beat Chennai Super Kings by four counters in their IPL match on Wednesday.
Shreyas (72, 41b, 5×4 4×6) and the opener Prabhsimran Singh (54, 36b, 5×4, 3×6) were the main runner manufacturers for pbks when they revised the 191 -point objective in 19.4 Overs.
Earlier, the 88 of Sam Curran helped CSK hosts reaching a competitive 190, despite the fact that Chahal took four counters, including a hat -trick (4/32).
Curran (88, 47b, 9×4, 4×6) found good support from Dewald Brevis (32, 26b, 2×4, 1×6).
For PBKS, the Chahal leg spinner was the most successful bowling player, because the Marco Jansen rhythm heard too much with a few counters.
