Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali And Faheem Ashraf Likely To Earn PCB Central Contracts

Fakhar Zaman, Hasan Ali and Faheem Ashraf should be included in the Pakistan Cricket Board central contracts for the 2025-26 season after being abandoned last year. The PCB had delayed the announcement of central contracts last year until October, although these contracts take place from June 1 to 30.
“PCB management and national selectors have already started deliberations on players to receive new central contracts in July,” said a source from the board of directors.
The source added that the best interpreters on the domestic circuit and some young players would also be included in the “D” category as well as incentives.
However, a few other players could lose their contracts due to ordinary performance in the last 7 to 8 months.
The PCB and senior actors had agreed with a three -year financial structure for central contracts in 2023 and this is the last year of the current model.
“There is no chance of increasing the retained or monthly match costs. The financial model will remain the same for 2025-26 and the PCB is not satisfied with the team’s performance,” added the source.
The current list of players with central contracts includes Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan in the upper category.
Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shan Masood appear in category B while Abdullah Shafic, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Noman Ali, Saim Ayub, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel and Shadab Khan are in category C.
The players in category D are Aamir Jamal, Haseebullah, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shahzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Hurraira, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr and Usman Khan. Pti Cor DDV
