US Open Venue To Get $800 Million Facelift: Officials

Arthur Ashe’s main stadium of the United States Open must renovate as part of an $ 800 million renovation project at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, American tennis leaders said on Monday. The president of the United Tennis Association, Brian Vahaly, said that the renovations planned for the site have marked part of the “largest investment in the history of this event”. The several million dollars project will include a transformation of the Arthur Ashe stadium with 24,000 seats, the main court of the US Open, a new performance center for players and improvements throughout the complex to improve fans’ facilities.
“It’s an incredibly exciting moment for our sport and for the United States,” said Vahaly.
“We are proud to unveil the largest unique investment in the history of this event, a multi -year transformation which will increase the experience for each fan, player and partner who enters the field of the National Tennis Center of the USTA Billie Jean King.
“Stadium upgrades Arthur Ashe, alongside a new performance center at the forefront of players, will ensure that the first place of tennis in the world will excel for the generations to come.”
The renovations in Ashe Will-Will-Will The stadium reconfigured to provide more seats in the areas of the courtyard below, going from 3,000 seats to around 5,000, officials said.
The establishment of the establishment, which are financed without public money, should be completed by 2027.
The preliminary work on the project has already started. The renovations will not affect the location of the next United States.
The US Open of this year, the last Grand Grand Chelem on the tennis calendar, takes place from August 24 to September 7.
