In an interview with the Times of India, the Aasive responded to concerns and confirmed the real diagnosis. “First of all, I want to clarify-it was not a heart attack. It was a gastroesophageal reflux disease. Symptoms looked like a heart attack, but I am totally in good shape,” he said.
Speculations started after the Aasif shared a note of reflection on its Instagram stories on July 16. The post read: “Life is short, do not take one day for granted. Everything can change in a moment. Be grateful to everything you have and everything you are. Remember who is more important for you and always cherish them. Life is a gift and we are blessed. “
The note aroused the concern of fans, many of whom assumed that the actor had undergone a serious heart episode.
What happened
The actor would have fallen ill after a long journey of his hometown in Rajasthan in Mumbai. Later in the evening, he felt chest pain and passed out in the bathroom. He was transported urgently to hospital, where medical tests have confirmed that gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) can imitate the symptoms of the heart attack.
Doctors have since advised the AASI to adopt lifestyle changes, especially linked to its diet. Despite the fear of health, the actor reassured the fans that this will not have an impact on his current or future projects.
