“In 17-18 Years Of My Career…”: Rohit Sharma On Rollercoaster Ride As India Captain

The Indian skipper Rohit Sharma spoke on Saturday during his roller coaster race as captain of the CPI T20 World Cup victory at the victory of the ICC Champions Trophy, who saw the Excel team in white ball cricket but suffers strongly in the test cricket, calling it a “perfect example of life”. Rohit spoke in a video entitled “Charcha with Rohit Sharma” published by the Indians of Mumbai (Mi) on their X handle before the shock of Saturday against the Titans of Gujarat in Ahmedabad.
In the video, Rohit discusses to bounce from a difficult IPL 2024, where they finished below under the captain of Hhelik Pandya. He says that in these times, you have to show your “grain and determination” as a sportsman.
“It was a low for the team (IPL 2024), and I thought we had not played our best cricket either. And there was so much to hope after IPL. I know there was a world cup (T20) to come, and then I had to change my goal towards the World Cup. Knowing that it will be my last T20 World Cup. So I really wanted to do it.
“So, we have just moved, you know, as a group, and then there have been a lot of collective performance from everyone through the tournament, which was very, very good to see. It is for any sporting that crosses something and there is a bottom. They want to fight, and they want, you know, bounce back and try to do it, you know, anything.”
“And afterwards, you know, we had a little low where we lost a series at home, and we did not play well in Australia. And then the Champions Trophy.
Rohit said that whatever happens, you have to find a way to “smile and be happy” and be at peace with everything.
“This is why each time we speak in the group Mi, as players, as you know, as a team, we always talk about this. Try to find a way to move on. That we win or if we lose. And to pass from a loss, a weakness, is not as easy.
“Because life does not stop here. After a bottom, sunrise will happen again the next day. You will have to wake up tomorrow and find a way to fight that day. So all these things are there. This is why if you can forget that moment and go ahead with a smile, so nothing like it,” he concluded.
